Readers of these articles will know of our tie up with CFH Docmail the provider of a brand new online print and post service in the UK. Docmail offers users the opportunity to upload a document and a mailing list, see an online proof, then have CFH Docmail print, envelope and mail their letters at costs well below normal UK postage rates. This is known as 'hybrid mail' as it combines the internet with snail mail.
CFH Docmail has available a SOAP API - This is an 'application programming interface' that allows other software to interact with Docmail across the web. SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) is a standard method of interacting with an API.
HTMail have now developed a Perl interface to the Docmail API.
What does that mean? Well, put simply, if you have a reasonable experience of writing HTML pages you will be able to take our Perl package and integrate it into your website - branding it as you wish, and creating your own Hybrid mail service to sell and mark up in any way that you wish! Docmail currently offers the lowest hybrid mail price on the net with the all inclusive price of stationery, print and postage starting at £0.25 ($0.37) - Leaving plenty of room for you to mark up and sell the service yourself to your own website audience. Alternatively, you can use the Docmail associate program to earn up to £0.02 for every envelope sent.
Once you have set up your Docmail account at https://www.cfhdocmail.com/live/signup.aspx - you can trial our Perl script at http://www.htmail.com/docmail-soap.html and download the full application at http://www.htmail.com/docmail-soap.zip.
The Perl script itself includes full installation instructions - but you will need access to your own web site and server.
Have fun!
