Having joined our membership list, you will want to make sure that you make the most out of your membership - receiving the most interesting ads, making as much money as you can from those ads, and finding out about new opportunities.
This page is designed to help you do exactly that!
Getting more emails
The first thing to do ensure that you are getting the maximum number of emails, is to make sure that you have provided as much information about yourself as possible. If you have not told us that you have a car, you will not be included on a list to car owners. If we don't know that you like reading, you will not be included on a mailing to book lovers.
Include everything that interests you in your 'Hobbies and interests box', all of the sports you like in the 'Sports box' and as much information about your business as you can. Answer all of the other questions on the form (marital status, gender etc) and you will maximise your chance of being included on lots of lists.
Please answer all of the questions truthfully. It is impossible to second guess what an advertiser is going to require - so you may as well receive ads that actually interest you. It is also very poor for future business if we mail a list that should only consist of 'Smokers' and someone visiting the site who had simply selected every box on the membership form then says 'I don't smoke' on the feedback form. The advertiser can end up thinking that they have been cheated, and therefore will not come back and order again, to the detriment of all members on the list - as it's the advertiser that ultimately pays you!
You are not required to provide feedback on the pages that you visit, however you are encouraged to do so. Good helpful feedback is welcomed by advertisers, and will often encourage an advertiser to place another ad, or a follow up ad to their original. What's more, you will be amazed how often advertiser's respond to your feedback by making major changes to their site. It's nice to know you can still change things!
Getting paid for the ads you receive
You need to make sure that you respond to ads correctly in order to be credited. You can find advice on how to do this on our member's page.
Referrals
Probably the quickest way to gain money is by referring other people to our service.
When you set your HTMail Class as 'Referring', each person that lists your email address as their referrer gains you a credit of $0.05 (£0.03) for every advertisers web site that they return our feedback form from, AND you get a credit of $0.02 (£0.01) for each feedback form returned by your second level referrals. You don't have to do a thing. What's even better, as long as you and they are still on the list, you will keep getting the credits.
Although, as a Referring member, you will personally be paid a little less for each feedback form you return, it takes very few referrals (about four) to offset this and move you into profit! You can find out about our referral program here.
You can gain new referrals in various ways - the first step is probably your family and friends. Tell them about HTMail, and just make sure that they include your email address as the person that referred them when they complete the join up form. The next step might be to include a link on your personal web page - you can find the HTML code you need for these links on our referral page.
The one thing you must not do is spam people. You must not send unsolicited emails to people asking them to sign up with HTMail nor must you make postings to inappropriate newsgroups. We do take action when spamming is reported to us - so please do not do it.
Problems
From time to time you may get problems with your account (sometimes our fault, sometimes yours) - but don't panic! Because the Internet is so faceless many people see a problem as someone trying to cheat them. In HTMail's case - it is not so! We genuinely want to help you make money from your account, and enjoy the sites you visit - so if you have a problem - don't write us off - write to us! Let us know what the problem or question is - and we will do our utmost to sort it out for you. Sometimes, if we are busy, it may take a couple of days to get back to you - but we DO reply to every email. All emails are read - where appropriate you may get a standard reply - but anything out of the ordinary and you can expect a personal reply addressing your particular need - and we rarely fail to find a solution.
If you do have a problem with your account please contact support@htmail.com - or for general questions please contact info@htmail.com
